Visa & insurance, sorted
Two things trip up first-time Thailand travelers more than anything else: visa paperwork and travel insurance. Here's what Indian passport holders need to know before a Pattaya departure.
Visa for Indian travelers
Indian passport holders can generally enter Thailand via visa exemption for short tourist stays, or apply for a Thailand eVisa online ahead of travel — rules on duration and eligibility change periodically, so always confirm the current policy on the official Thailand eVisa portal or with the Royal Thai Embassy before you book.
What you'll typically need: a passport valid for 6+ months beyond your travel dates, a return/onward flight ticket, proof of accommodation, and sufficient funds for your stay. Your Golden Time Trips booking confirmation and hotel details can serve as your accommodation proof.
We share exact document requirements and passport-validity checks in your pre-departure WhatsApp group, and our packing & documents checklist covers what to carry — but the visa application itself is your responsibility to complete before departure.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend every traveler carry travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellation, and lost baggage for the duration of the trip. Some package departures offer travel insurance as a bookable add-on at checkout — look for “Travel Insurance” under a package's inclusions. Where it isn't offered as an add-on, we recommend arranging a policy independently through a provider like Tata AIG, ICICI Lombard, or HDFC Ergo before you fly.
Golden Time Trips is a travel agency, not an insurance provider or broker — we don't sell or underwrite policies ourselves. Any insurance shown as a package add-on is facilitated through a third-party partner, and claims are handled directly with that insurer.
